Discover Richmond: December 2017
It’s time to celebrate the 2017 RTD Person of the Year honorees – and to be inspired by their efforts.
In the third year of our civic recognition program, we spotlight a broad range of individuals and their broad range of contributions to and achievements in the Richmond region.
We start with Dr. Bob Archuleta, who has emphasized life over death – and brought dignity to both realms – as founder and medical director of Noah's Children, the region's only pediatric hospice and palliative care program. Archuleta is the 2017 RTD Person of the Year.
We induct two individuals into our Hall of Fame, in recognition of their lasting contributions to Richmond.
As a patron of the arts, Pamela Reynolds has helped the region embrace its own creative voice. And
through the Faison Center and Partnership for the Future, Alan Kirshner has built a legacy of opportunity for youths.
We also recognize two dozen other honorees for their achievements.
Together, they remind us that the best part of the Richmond region is its people.
