Through a partnership with the Richmond Times-Dispatch, Leach painted live during the UCI World Road Championships in September 2015 creating dozens of works. Those paintings, and the stories behind each of them, are featured in the book. A Richmond-based artist, Leach first started painting cyclists while watching the Tour de France in 2014. He has since traveled with the tour, painting scenes along the way, and his paintings have been used in numerous publications.
